Our ambitions for improving the life chances of young people in Scotland

This strategy acknowledges that youth work changes lives for the better and confirms the Scottish government commitment to supporting and working collaboratively with national youth work organisations to give young people the skills that they need to succeed in life. In this strategy, Education Scotland, YouthLink Scotland and the Scottish Government outline a partnership that aims to ensure that young people have access to high quality and effective youth work practice. Actions through which this will be achieved include: (1) ensuring through policy that Scotland nurtures and values its youth; (2) recognising the value of youth work; (3) building youth work workforce capacity; and (4) ensuring impact is measured.
