Future job openings: Australia in the knowledge economy
This paper presents forecasts of growth, net replacement needs and net job openings to 2006 in Australia by the nine-way groupings of occupations first defined in Maglen and Shah (1999) [available in VOCEDplus at TD/TNC 57.25]. It shows the way demand for labour is likely to be affected by technological change and globalisation.
