This report examines the implications and challenges of writing competency based assessment, the practicalities of ensuring that the assessments suit a variety of delivery modes and the challenges of writing assessments to suit a diverse range of subjects and delivery situations. Particular challenges faced by teachers include how to test and mark, and how to determine what constitutes competency.
