This discussion paper proposes a strategy for the implementation of competency based training (CBT) in the Northern Territory. The potential strategy is being distributed throughout the Northern Territory TAFE [technical and further education] and training system. The views of the Industry Training Councils, private providers of training, colleges and industry are sought regarding the contents of this paper, their role in the implementation of such a strategy and their expectations of the TAFE system in the development of an appropriate infrastructure.
