This chapter evaluates how the University of Winchester successfully implemented a business-facing model of apprenticeship development and engagement. It describes a ten-year relationship between Winchester Business School and CGI (formerly Logica) and discusses how the relationship grew from an initial single programme development into jointly pioneering degree apprenticeships. The relationship initially succeeded through recognising and being highly responsive to CGI's needs. Over the years for both parties, success has grown as a result of mutual commitment in turning strategic vision into reality. The chapter concludes by agreeing with the Tudor and Mendez (2014) contention that achieving mutual value is essential for both university and employer as each seeks to maximise the benefits from collaboration.
