Abstract:

This research project explores the practice of student and staff participation in applied research in the context of TAFE NSW Higher Education (HE). Assumptions are often made about what is meant by the term 'applied research' in the context of teaching and learning in TAFE NSW HE. It is often unclear in literature how applied research activities relate to curriculum development, student learning and teacher scholarship.
