Abstract:

The objective of this briefing note is to provide an overview of further education (FE) in England relying on administrative data from the Individualised Learners Record (ILR). There are four different types of FE providers: general FE and tertiary colleges, sixth form colleges, private training providers and other publicly funded providers.
